OJSC MZKT continues active cooperation with special equipment manufacturers for various branches of national economy. An example of a close collaboration with the Fid Group, a leader among the Eurasian Economic Union countries in the sphere of manufacture and supply of hydraulic fracture treatment solutions, is the novel mobile drilling plant MB30 build on the domestically produced VOLAT chassis.
The drilling plant was designed to support a variety of drilling operations: percussion rotary and rotatory drilling, air-flush and fluid-circulation drilling, reverse circulation drilling and auger drilling. The drilling plant is suitable for drilling of wells for seam degassing, drilling of large-diameter vent holes and wells for underground uranium leaching, as well as for prospecting operations. A topdrive with a high torque and revolver pipe feeder ensures good drilling performance with the maximum drillstring lifting force of 360 kN.
The special-purpose wheeled chassis MZKT-750004-010 used as the carrier base for the installation of the mobile drilling plant is a four-axle, all-wheel-drive product designed specifically to be employed outside the public road network, in hard-to-reach regions with challenging terrain. The chassis is designed to be operating in moderate climate with the ambient air temperature of minus 40 °С to 40 °С.
The chassis is equipped with a 420 hp, Euro-5 emission standard compliant engine and a locally-manufactured 9-speed mechanical transmission. The installed equipment is meant to be powered by means of power takeoff from the transfer gearbox of the chassis, with the maximum delivered torque of 3000 N*m.
As is customary in VOLAT products, the inter-axle and inter-wheel differentials may be blocked from the cabin; it features single-wheel tires with 16.00R20 tires and off-road treads, and the tire pressure management system. The exterior has in the recognized signature style of VOLAT. The design of MZKT-750004-010 makes is possible to install various process equipment with the maximum weight of 29.7 tons.
A chassis type approval certificate was issued for the product, as well as Vehicle Chassis Certificate which confirms its compliance with the requirements of Technical Guidelines of the Customs Union “On the Safety of Wheeled Vehicles”.
