The MAZ-529V single-axle tractor, designed for civil purposes, was the first vehicle launched in batch production in 1958. With the curb weight 9000 kg, it could tow a trailer of up to 25000 kg weight.
The tractor’s engine power was 180 hp, and the maximum vehicle speed was 40 km/hour. This vehicle was also appreciated by the military. It was used for transportation of missile launcher systems in the Strategic Missile Troops.
