As of this moment, tests of the novel product of Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant – chassis MZKT-750005-020 with the axle arrangement of 10x10 – are under way. The product is intended to be used as a carrier basis of special-purpose oil & gas equipment of up to 40 tons for HFT fleet.
The development of the chassis was the result of joint efforts of specialists of the Company and its major customers and partners from the oil & gas sector; it is a domestically-built anti-sanction product. The VOLAT five-axis all-wheel drive chassis has regulation road clearance, and the axial distribution of its loaded weight makes it possible to use it at public roads without the need to acquire any additional permits. The product awaits chassis type approval.
The chassis is equipped with a 6-cylinder 338 kW (460 hp) engine compliant with the Euro-5 emission standard coupled with a 12-speed mechanical transmission. Drive axles are of rigid type and offer the functionality of blocking inter-axle and inter-wheel differentials, with the 1st and the 2nd axles steerable. The suspension is of the dependent type. The first and the second axles have leaf-spring suspension, the rear suspension is of the articulated hydraulic type. The wheels are of the single-wheel type with 445/65R20 tires and off-road treads. The product is equipped with a central tire inflation system. Fuel tanks have the total capacity of 800 l. The chassis features an all-metal, two-seat cabin with double bunks. At customer’s request the chassis may be outfitted with an air conditioning system and an autonomous heater.
The first batch of the chassis will host cementing and mixing plants. These rigs are intended to be used for cementing, overhauling and development of oil and gas wells.
It is worth mentioning that the MZKT-750005-020 chassis is only the first in the row of the planned new projects expected to be launched in 2023.
